On December 26, 2024, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met in Washington, D.C., to discuss the development of the India-U.S. alliance during the previous four years. The talks focused on enhancing collaboration in a number of areas, including in trade, investments, and technology. Jaishankar was upbeat about the partnership, saying it benefits both parties and the world at large.

Jaishankar and Blinken underlined throughout the meeting their dedication to working together to overcome regional and global issues. “The partnership has reached unprecedented levels of warmth and ambition, reflecting the importance both countries place on their bilateral ties,” Blinken said.
