When the LoC is breached, the Indian Army severely damages Pakistan.

The Pakistan Army breached the ceasefire accord on April 1, 2025, when it crossed the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch area of Jammu and Kashmir. The intrusion caused a mine explosion, which was followed by unprovoked shooting from Pakistani soldiers in the Krishna Ghati sector.

Five Pakistani soldiers were wounded in the retaliation, but the Indian Army’s response was successful in a “controlled and calibrated manner,” guaranteeing no casualties on their end. Indian forces are currently keeping a close eye on the situation and have everything under control.

This breach is one of several ceasefire violations committed by Pakistan, which are frequently intended to make it easier for terrorists to infiltrate under cover of fire. Although they have been infrequent since the ceasefire deal in 2021, these violations have periodically disturbed the tranquilly along the LoC. In this case, continuous operations against terrorist infiltrators have resulted in increased vigilance in places like Poonch, Rajouri, and Kathua. Remarkably, two of the five terrorists who were discovered in Kathua on March 23 have already been killed, while the other three are still being sought.

In order to preserve peace along the Line of Control (LoC) and be ready to react forcefully to any provocations, the Indian Army has reaffirmed its commitment to honouring the 2021 Director Generals of Military Operations (DGsMO) accord.
