Properties connected to an active insurgent have been targeted by South Kashmir police. In order to impede the financial support for terrorist actions, this operation involved the attachment of the militant’s assets. According to the police, this action is a component of a larger plan to counter militancy in the area by focusing on the financial resources that support such activities.
According to authorities, the police had attached a double-story property in violation of Section 25 of the UAPA.
According to authorities, the property, which is registered in the name of Firdous Ahmad Bhat of Hugam Lonepora, Srigufwara, is worth about ₹5 crores and encompasses one kanal and ten marlas (Survey No. 5419/561 Min).
According to the police, the attachment is related to case FIR No. 57/2024 of Police Station Mattan and was carried out in front of the Executive Magistrate and a properly organized police team, guaranteeing complete adherence to legal procedures.
