India Provides Cuba With Humanitarian Aid After Hurricane Rafael

In response to Hurricane Rafael’s devastating impact on Cuba in November 2024, India has sent humanitarian aid to the island nation.

A shipment of necessary medications, such as antibiotics and painkillers, was sent to aid in the recovery efforts in the impacted areas, according to confirmation from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

About 800,000 people were impacted by Hurricane Rafael, which had a major impact on western Cuba, especially in provinces like Artemisa and Mayabeque. It also severely damaged homes, infrastructure, and medical facilities.

The assistance from the Indian government demonstrates its dedication to global solidarity and solidifies its standing as a major participant in international humanitarian endeavors.
