Jaishankar Meets Israeli Economy Minister Nir Barkat, Discuss Trade, Technology And Investment Cooperation

At the 29th CII Partnership Summit in New Delhi, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met with Nir Barkat, Israel’s Minister of Economy and Industry. Enhancing trade, technological, and investment collaboration between Israel and India was the main topic of discussion. Jaishankar emphasized the possibility of greater cooperation across a range of industries and voiced confidence about fortifying these relationships.

In order to strengthen business and tourism connections, Barkat underlined the significance of improved connectivity, especially through expanded airline operations.

He said that “the sky is the limit” for future collaboration and that better trade agreements might result in a notable expansion of bilateral business.

Since diplomatic relations were established in 1992, enhancing flight connectivity between the two countries has been a key component in promoting deeper economic relationships. Both ministers noted the ongoing discussions aimed at achieving this goal.
