Jammu and Kashmir Police have denied that terrorists stole firearms during the recent two-day conflict in the Kathua district, highlighting the recovery of all unaccounted-for weaponry and the four police officers’ personal things.
Two Pakistani terrorists connected to the outlawed Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) group and four police officers were killed in the Safiyan woodland area incident.
A police representative stated that there is no truth to the reports of weapon-snatching that are making the rounds on social media.
Instead, because of the local police’s Special Operations Group’s unrelenting efforts, the terrorists fled in terror, abandoning their guns and equipment. Strict legal action will be taken against anyone disseminating misleading information that jeopardises national security, the official added.
