The Indian Navy P81 aircraft is participating in the multilateral Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2024 military exercise at Joint Base Pearl Harbour in the United States.
On the Hawaiian island of Oahu, the United States maintains Joint Base Pearl Harbour-Hickam (JBPHH).

Indian stealth frigate with multiple roles Last month, on June 29, the INS Shivalik, a mission stationed in the North Pacific and South China Seas, arrived in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, to participate in the 29th Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise, the biggest naval drill in the world.
Following the conclusion of JIMEX 24, a bilateral exercise between Japan and India, INS Shivalik steamed into Pearl Harbor on Thursday.
“In order to take part in the 29th iteration of Exercise Rim of the Pacific #RIMPAC24, the Indian Navy’s indigenous stealth frigate #INSShivalik has arrived in Pearl Harbour, Hawaii. The Indian Navy wrote on X that the Harbour Phase, which runs from June 27 to July 7, will include team-building exercises, insightful workshops, professional interactions, and cross-deck visits.
Ships will participate in basic and advanced level integration exercises throughout the first two sub-phases of the three-phase RIMPAC-24 sea phase.
The goal of RIMPAC-24, which consists of more than six weeks of rigorous training and activities, is to improve confidence and interoperability between friendly foreign navies. About 29 nations are taking part in the current multifaceted exercise, which is being led by the US Navy.
RIMPAC-24, the largest international maritime exercise in the world, offers a special training opportunity while encouraging and maintaining cooperative ties among participants, which are essential to maintaining the security of the world’s seas and the safety of sea lanes.
