Gridbots Technologies’ autonomous ground vehicle, the HITMAN, has successfully finished ‘No Cost, No Commitment’ (NCNC) trials at a firing range. With its level 5 autonomy, this cutting-edge unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) can function autonomously in outside settings.
The HITMAN’s ability to track and engage targets remotely is improved by its attached KATANA Remote Controlled Weapon Station (RCWS).
One of the most sophisticated weapon stations in the world, Gridbots Autonomous Weapon Station (AWS) KATANA also finished its NCNC trials at high altitude [15,000 feet/-20 degrees Celsius] with 30 cm scatter at 400 meters of target, real-time tracking, drone recognition and kill, and many other capabilities.
It is equipped with a mounted AWS KATANA with 360-degree pan and ±70-degree tilt, level 5 autonomy for outdoor use, and real-time tracking and fire capabilities for ATGM/MMG targets that are moving or stationary.
The trials were carried out to evaluate the HITMAN’s operational efficacy in several settings, showcasing its accuracy and dependability.
As Gridbots Technologies continues to create cutting-edge defense-related technologies, the conclusion of these trials represents an important milestone.
The successful completion of these tests should open the door for future developments and possible practical implementation of the HITMAN, demonstrating India’s expanding prowess in autonomous military technologies.
