According to sources on Thursday, an Army ambush party opened fire after spotting suspicious activity close to the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch area of Jammu and Kashmir. Late on Wednesday night, the forces on ambush duty along the potential infiltration routes detected suspicious movement close to Bagyaldara village and opened fire. According to the officials, the cordon surrounding the suspected site was reinforced at the same time.
They claimed there were no casualties from the Army’s firing.
Officials said that a search operation was started at dawn on Thursday and was in progress when the final reports came in.
