He referred to Jammu and Kashmir as a crucial region of India when he met Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in Srinagar.
Gor commended the security measures made by the Union Territory government and the Center to make the area safer in an interview with the media following the meeting.
He hinted at a potential lowering of Washington’s current Level 4 “do not travel” advice for Jammu and Kashmir.
