In a recent speech to the French Joint Staff College, General Upendra Dwivedi, the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), gave a thorough assessment of India’s strategic situation.

His four-day official visit to France included this interaction, which was intended to strengthen military cooperation and look at potential new areas of collaboration between the two countries. In his speech, General Dwivedi emphasized how India’s security landscape is changing and how more international collaboration is necessary to guarantee collective security.

His visit demonstrated India’s dedication to deepening strategic ties with France, with a particular emphasis on topics like cooperative military drills, military modernization, and defense technology breakthroughs.

Meetings with high-ranking French military leaders, tours of esteemed military facilities, and live firing exercises by the French Scorpion Division were all on General Dwivedi’s itinerary while in France.
